Kansas Education Data System (KEDS)
KEDS is a new system designed to maximize the standardization of data, increase interoperability of systems, and modernize overall P-20W Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) capabilities. The KEDS system will collect data that is aligned to Ed-Fi data standards via an application programming interface (API). An API is a mechanism for two or more systems to connect with each other to exchange data without the need for manual file uploads. A data validation portal within the KEDS system will allow districts to review possible errors and ensure its data is accurate.
